
Celeste Adams
Celeste Adams is a dedicated mental health professional with experience in practice management, psychometry and counselling. She began her journey in the field as our practice administrator, where she quickly developed a deep passion for supporting clients and enhancing their well-being. Her expertise expanded through her involvement with Trauma Call and the AKESO Clinic, as well as with non-profit organisations, namely the Trauma Centre and Kuthetha Nathi, which focus on providing mental health services to underprivileged communities.
She completed her undergraduate (BA) and postgraduate (Honours) studies in Psychology at the University of the Western Cape (2017-2020) and earned her Psychometry (BPsych Equivalent) qualification at Stellenbosch University in 2024.
Currently, Celeste is a registered Psychometrist – Independent Practice with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and a registered Specialist Wellness Counsellor with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP). Celeste’s professional qualifications reflect her commitment to providing compassionate psychological care.
During her Psychometry Internship, Celeste gained invaluable experience in psychological testing and clinical report writing, while also working with clients in both private practice and the AKESO Clinic. This experience has equipped her with a broad skill set to assist individuals facing various challenges.
Celeste offers therapeutic support across a range of areas such as interpersonal relationships, individual growth and self-actualisation, parental relationships, conflict resolution, stress and lifestyle management, trauma debriefing, household organisation, academic pressures, and emotional awareness. She is dedicated to helping clients manage everyday challenges while adhering to ethical standards, appropriate referral practices, and professional conduct within her area of expertise.
With a personal understanding of life’s complexities and her own therapeutic journey, Celeste has developed a particular passion for working with adolescents and young adults, assisting them in navigating the unique challenges that come with this stage of their lives.
